La Maison Hotel ★★★

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this location and was pleasantly surprised. The convenience of a prime parking spot right in front of the establishment set the tone for a hassle-free experience. The staff were the true gems of my visit – friendly and extremely helpful. Their warm demeanor and eagerness to assist made my stay all the more enjoyable.

The beds were a bit of a letdown. They could have been a tad more comfortable.

This has to be the best located and value for money hotel in Petra. Literally 5 minutes from the entrance to the ruins. Clean, spotless room, helpful friendly reception staff with good language skills. Excellent breakfast and evening buffet meal. Tremendous variety of food and so many delightful desserts! Tasty main courses and so many different salads. The dining experience was made special by the experienced, senior restaurant manager. Whether it was a single lady, an infant or a large tour group he managed everything so effortlessly. Thank you.

The hotel is a short walk to the Petra entrance. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Check in was easy and the staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many options, including an omelette chef. The box breakfast was basic, but better than nothing while sitting above the Treasury in the early morning.

Getting the shower temperature comfortable was a challenge. The hair dryer overheated and stopped working. Both are small inconveniences.

Very cosy room, the bed was big and good. The position of this hotel is perfect for accessing the archaeological site. The place is clean and the breakfast plentiful and good, with a choice of Arabic or Continental options, salty and sweet. The staff was kind and they kept our luggage after check out.

I have mixed review on the staff/team. When we checked in in the afternoon, the person manning the front office was awesome, gave us advise on the hike and such. The staffs at the dining/restaurant are great. On our last day, as we are getting ready to check out at around 9am, we planned on putting our things first to the car, grab breakfast and we might go back to our room to use the toilet. When we got to our car and while arranging our things, one of the staff demanded our key. He said one word - key - and did the hand gesture. If he had asked if we were checking out already, I wont have any issues, but this is just plain RUDE. So I went to the front office - the person manning the front desk at this time argued, yes argued that they werent rude. And that they had "asked". No sir, you did not ask. Food is not the best. We tried breakfast, most of the dishes are salty. But the egg omelette was good. Dinner is not good - Salty and soggy fish, the rest are so so, nothing that youll remember. Our room also had plumbing issues. They had to replace the shower head and the rainshower as water comes out of places it shouldnt and whats left to use for shower is so little water. Also our toilet did not flush the 2nd use - these were all fixed by their superfast maintenance people.within the hour we reported the problem

Hotel is 5 mins away from Petra visitors centre and if good value for money. The staff at the reception was very helpful and gave us some good tips to plan out visits in Petra. They can also arrange for breakfast boxes to be taken into Petra if you wish to leave early

Bathroom is a bit old and needs an upgrade. Breakfast was very basic.

The location of this hotel was very convenient for Petra. The staff were very friendly with lots of local recommendations.

The hotel has a great location but is looking a bit tired.

Spacious room. Not far from the entrance of Petra. Buffet dinner at JOD10 is excellent
